TerisaHI, nice to meet you, I'm Terisa.
Reading on the FloorI'm the mother of 2 wonderful children, and stepmom to 4 more. I'm "Nana" to 4 beautiful babies, 2 boys and 2 girls, ranging in age from 1 to 6, and share the pride of 3 more grandsons who call my husband "Papa."

Up until now, I had spent the majority of my working years as a waitress, bartender, or cook. I have also had some experience as a secretary,(more of a file clerk really) and convienence store clerk.

But I've always been a bit of a night owl. and I love the peace and tranquility the night has to offer.

For the over 9 years I was employed by C.R.Bard, a medical device manufacturing company. Here, I learned much about the heart and arythmia's in particular. I have had the honor of working with the Electrophysiology dept. as new products were developed.

I thought it would be a welcome break, from public service, to work in a "factory" you know, without the plastic smile, so carefully placed, the kind words, when your thoughts and feelings are anything but kind, that you must keep intact when your job is public service... well, working in a "factory" isn't any different! I spent my day with anywhere from 600 to 900 people, most of whom I knew by name and spoke to daily, my plastic smile intact. Wouldn't it be awful to spend your day with a miserable person? 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year?

Well, as much as I loved that job, the next adventure was at hand, I relocated to the Texas Hill Country. I came here in August of 1998 to visit my Dad, whom I hadn't seen in 7 years, and decided to stay and make a home here..the area is beautiful and abounding with wildlife.. but thats not really why I am here.. it's good to get know my Dad and family again.. and I loved my new JOB! I began working on my computer building websites ! I subcontracted my work from my local ISP and my duties soon included technical support and teaching basic internet and e-mail classes, in six different towns. From January until April 15th, I worked in my fathers income tax office too. Now what could be more fun than that? Well, fun as it was, believe it or not I began getting bored after a few years.

I never gave up the income tax part, I still do that. I still work on computers some as well, but most often, only for past clients turned friends over the years. My father decided to keep the Income Tax office open year round and add office supplies to the mix. and most recently, sublimation printing. once again, something I really LOVE! I get be creative, putting peoples most cherished photos onto coffee mugs, mouse pads, puzzles, and keyrings... t-shirts - totebags.. just lots and lots of different things, it's more like a hobby than work.

Hobbies? well I think I've had to many in life. I have an obsessive personality. I tend to get too involved with well... with whatever might be on my mind. I did macrame, made jewelry, ceramics, ohh.. just about anything.. But I've held fast to my poetry, and Yaddo. Oh you say Yaddo is a place? not a hobby? Not "My Yaddo" read my story.. Yaddo is an obsession for me. always has been. always will be. Oh one other thing.. I always wanted to be a school teacher. LOL ..so much for dreams.. Psst.. Mr Cahn if you're out there.. thank you. People are reading my poetry!! ( your most ardent student, Terisa)
