For my children...
Bear HugsThere's nothing that can make my day.. quite like a child's tender way.. A smile that's shy A twinkling eye A little heart bursting with hopes and wishes but don't forget, the best part yet... Bear Hugs & Soggy Kisses! ~ Don't CryDry your eyes my precious child. Crying can't be fun! Let's get that smile right-side up, there's exploring to be done we'll race the fastest car of all, on the grandest horse we'll ride you can lead the big brass band and I'll march by your side! we'll sail the sea's, just you and me we'll fly the skies above for there's no magic that compares to that of Mommy's love. I treasure my friends, and always
want to be there for them, but that is not always possible, this next
verse, well, more like a story actually, speaks to that. Your scream for help was so loud...that I didn't hear my daughter whimper. While you cried on my shoulder, my son was reaching for a hug... I heard another scream and I ran to it, thinking you were okay, But you fell, and blamed me for that. I felt so bad for the new pain I had caused you and got to work repairing your wounds of neglect. My children are crying and I promise them that soon, you will be stable, and not need me. They trust me, and smile for me with understanding I am running after another cry when I notice my own tears, of sorrow I haven't enough hands. you needed me & I was busy with a friend whom I felt needed me even more. You cry from rejection I cry from frustration I look behind me for the reassuring smlies... what I see are many paths, well worn, like the one that leads to you. and one path overgrown with weeds..I know that at the end of that path, I will find the reassurance that I need. Excuse me my friend, I love you,
but I have some weeding to do. |
